Year 3 Cendrillion - Opera Production

The unit brief was to take either ballet or opera versions of Cinderella/Cendrillon and either reproduce exactly from a production or to re-imagine a new version/costume

This 18th Century period cut coat is for a production of Cendrillon. Made from upcycled and individually dyed denim pieces (used in reverse) with cotton twill and calico sheeting to represent the inner workings of a clock and thus during the chorus performers dance is showing the passing of time until Cendrillon's arrival just before midnight.
